How the 49ers helped a man who was wrongly imprisoned for murder

Malcolm Scott was incarcerated for 22 years for a murder he did not commit. The Innocence Project took his case in the hopes of proving his innocence, but when the man who actually committed the crime was set to be executed for another crime, time was running out. In a special episode of Community Champions, Anna Kagarakis found out more about his emotional and heart-wrenching journey to freedom. 

In the two decades he served in prison, his imprisonment had a strange ebb and flow to his favorite football team...The San Francisco 49ers.
