Can the 49ers contain Larry Fitzgerald?

Larry Fitzgerald has tormented the 49ers throughout his career. Jimmie Ward has drawn Fitzgerald as his defensive assignment in the recent past when Ward was playing nickel cornerback. With Ward now a full-time free safety, expect newly extended K’Waun Willams to get the bulk of the time trying to slow down the future hall-of-fame WR in the slot.

Will the 49ers defensive line take advantage of poor Cardinals offensive line?

Mike Iupati & Alex Boone will both be out against their former team and the Cardinals offensive line has been in shambles trying to protect Carson Palmer. 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh said this week he believes his defensive line is “close” to breaking out and once they do sacks will come in bunches. If it doesn’t happen this week it might not happen at all for the 49ers young defensive front.

Can Carlos Hyde be effective?

Carlos Hyde is off to nice start and played through what was originally was called a hip injury sustained against the Rams. Kyle Shanahan said Friday the injury is more of an oblique. An oblique could be aggravated at any twist or turn for Hyde and the 49ers will need to be able to run the football to keep the Cardinals off balance and set up their play action game.
