How to Watch Raiders vs. Dolphins Online

September 21, 2018 - 9:51 am

Jon Gruden and the Raiders are off to a rough 0-2 start. It’s been all downhill since the team decided to trade Khalil Mack, who never showed up to training camp, to the Bears. The Dolphins are off to a surprising 2-0 start, although their wins were over the Titans (in a game that took forever to finish due to weather and where Marcus Mariota got hurt) and the Jets (who are in more of a rebuilding year). Can Gruden get his first win as a coach in a decade Sunday?

The Raiders haven’t exactly been destroyed the first two weeks of the season. They had a 13-10 lead at halftime in Week 1 against the Rams. They gave up 23 unanswered points in the second half to a team that is light years better than they are. They had a 12-0 halftime lead in Week 2 against the Broncos, and a 19-10 lead going into the 4th quarter, before they ultimately blew it, losing 20-19. They are in these games but haven’t been able to close it out. Derek Carr played well in Week 2, but they need him to move the ball down the field and take shots this week against a Dolphins defense that has been great.

Speaking of that defense, the Dolphins have intercepted opposing QBs five times already through the first two games. They are winning the turnover battle, which has clearly been the difference in their 27-20 and 20-12 wins over the Titans and Jets. Ryan Tannehill is on fire when he’s been on the field. He’s 9-1 in the last 10 games he has started. Tannehill has been able to do it with his arms and his legs, showing that he can run the ball down the field when defenses give him room. He will need a bit more from Kenyan Drake and Frank Gore this week if they want to remain undefeated.
