Jerry Rice joined “Joe, Lo & Dibs” on Wednesday and revealed an intriguing nugget while reminiscing about a time his status as the GOAT got him out of a ticket.

Jerry said he wasn’t sure his status who get him off the hook, just like he wasn’t certain his all-time résumé would get him into the Canton.

“The Pro Football Hall of Fame, I didn’t think I was a shoo-in for the Pro Football Hall of Fame,” Rice. “You never know what’s going to happen.”

When pressed on if he really thought there was a chance he wouldn't get in, Rice offered the following:

“Yeah, yeah, to be honest with you guys. I did because you never know what the voters are going to do,” Rice added. “And so, I didn’t just take it for granted. And when they called my name, I was like, ‘Oh my god. I’m in the next elite group now, the Pro Football Hall of Fame.’”

Rice also gave his take on ex-teammate Terrell Owens declining his invite to the enshrinement ceremony at the hall.

“Well, Terrell right now, he has a lot of anger,” Rice said with a laugh. “He felt like he should have gone in on the first ballot.”

.Rice did praise T.O for always giving 100 percent on the football field, but doesn't expect him to change his mind.

“I was sort of shocked, but then I’m really that surprised. I think (it’s) his option if he doesn’t want to come to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and go through the ritual.”
