Back at Staples Center, the site of the Draymond Green-Kevin Durant on-court spat some two months ago, Steve Kerr delivered a memorable line after shootaround on Friday morning.
A reporter asked Kerr where his club is compared to that November night when Green and Durant first got into it. The quick-witted coach alluded to a famous line delivered by Joe Lacob, the club’s majority owner, to sum things up:
“We’re light-years ahead.”
