Bob Myers, the boss of the Warriors basketball operations, was on “The Greg Papa Show” with Bonta Hill on Thursday afternoon and told the guys just how much he loves draft night.

“It’s fun. It is fun,” Myers said on 95.7 The Game. “I mean, it’s a big night of hope. It’s exciting. We’ve got all our guys up there in the war room.

Myers enjoys the chance to see his scouting staff, usually dispersed around the country, all in the same place. It’s his boss, owner Joe Lacob, who sets the tone.

“There’s always action and I’m fortunate to work with Joe who’s kind of an action junkie,” Myers said. “I mean, we’re trying to buy picks and move around.”

“I told him yesterday, for Joe, once we made our pick, it’s like a guy sitting at the casino table going, ‘I’m out of money.’ He doesn’t like that. He said, ‘Can we play?’”

“I said, ‘No. We don’t need to play. But he likes to push the envelope. But that makes that fun for me. We actually bought picks and I’m fortunate to work for a guy who will do that.”
