Steve Kerr, noted Dodgers fan, has a lot of thoughts on the Oakland A’s, his Warriors cross-the-parking-lot neighbors at the Coliseum/Oracle Arena Complex.

He shared those opinions on a recent edition of the “Warriors Off-Court” podcast, hosted by the San Francisco Chronicle’s John Shea.

“I’ve been living in the East Bay now for, this is my fifth year, and I’ve been to the Oakland Coliseum once,” Kerr said. “I went to one game. The stadium experience was just awful. And, I think the A’s have this incredible brand, great history, great colors.”

“I think they’re a sleeping giant. And, I think if somebody can find a way to build a new ballpark — especially with us moving to San Francisco and the Raiders leaving — I think the A’s could own Oakland and make it such a desirable place to go. I would go to a lot of games in the summertime if Oakland had a really nice ballpark.”

If only Kerr knew a well-heeled and ambition owner in the market.
