The day after Bob Myers told “The Greg Papa Show” with Bonta Hill that he’s not yet sure if DeMarcus Cousins will be back before the calendar flips, Steve Kerr offered his perspective on the all-star’s recovery.

As Kerr explained on “The Damon Bruce Show” on Thursday afternoon, things are very much trending in the right direction. With the Warriors in the midst of a busy schedule, Cousins gets most of his work in by scrimmaging with young Warriors — and sometimes even coaches.

“I’ve noticed on this trip, I think, his conditioning level has gotten much better,” Kerr said. “He still has some barriers to get through, (but) he just looks like he’s more energized, getting closer and really doing a good job with whatever (he’s doing).”
