With the 49ers in the midst of a four-game winning streak, ex-Niner and two-time pro bowler Takeo Spikes joined “Mornings W/ Joe, Lo & Dibs” to discuss the rise of his old club.

“They will be a team that other teams will have to game plan for,” Spikes told Chris Townsend, Lorenzo Neal and Daryle “The Guru” Johnson. “I truly believe that because we’re not taking into account of all the additions that (head coach) Kyle Shanahan and his staff will bring in.”

So what kind of results does the ex-linebacker expect in 2018?

“I mean, the standard is high,” Spikes said. “I’m old school. So when we talk about the 49ers, I mean, playoffs at the minimum and that’s just the way it is.”
