With Week 17 and Black Monday looming, Network’s Michael Silver joined “The Damon Bruce Show” to address a slew of football topics, including whether Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio is in danger of losing his job.

“It’s a really good question and I think it’s one of those that only Mark Davis really knows (the answer),” Silver said. “I’ve heard it both ways from people.”

“I would, at this moment that we’re talking, I would say it’s more likely than not that Jack survives,” Silver continued. “And honestly, I believe that’s a good decision.”

"I understand how disappointing this year has been to Raiders fans and they were understandably very excited, and I understand that because Jack Del Rio made the move to fire Bill Musgrave and bring in an untested coordinator in Todd Downing that he should be held accountable for that because it did not go well — I get all that.”

“But I also remember what the culture was like and how long they struggled for. And (general manager) Reggie McKenzie got a lot of attention for some of the picks he made and certainly some of them were very, very good, but I really think Jack did more to affect the culture change than anyone in that building.”
