Weston Richburg out for season with torn patellar tendon

Center was carted off the field in New Orleans

Weston Richburg is out for the season with a torn patellar tendon, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan announced on Monday.

The center injured his right knee in Sunday's 48-46 win over the Saints and had to be carted off the field:

Ben Garland stepped in for Richburg on the 49ers' offensive line against the Saints, and will hold down the gig moving forward. 

Shanahan also announced that cornerback Richard Sherman and defensive end Dee Ford will miss a few weeks with hamstring injuries.
