The San Francisco 49ers and left tackle Joe Staley have reportedly agreed to terms on a reworked contract that will give him a raise over the next two seasons.

Staley was originally due to make $11 million in the 2018 and 2019 seasons, but now he will make $17.4 million total. The 33-year old left tackle will get a raise from $5.5 million to $8.72 million in the upcoming season.

Staley is an 11-year veteran, a six-time Pro Bowl selection, and an important part to the Niners' offense, especially now that the team has found their quarterback. Jimmy Garoppolo has given Staley a strong endorsement, and it looks like the team has put their trust in a player who will be paid to protect the QB's blind side.
