A day after George Kittle missed practice with an ankle injury, head coach Kyle Shanahan said he is not worried about the tight end's availability for Sunday's NFC Championship showdown with the Packers.

Listen to your team news NOW.

Here's Kittle in his own words:

Kittle was back on the practice field shortly after Shanahan spoke, but officially listed as a non participant on the injury report.

Here's how Niner game-wrecker spent his Wednesday:

Kittle, at least officially, was listed as a non participant in practice on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The ankle has been an longtime issue for Kittle. Back on Oct. 31 against the Cardinals, he BROKE A BONE IN HIS ANKLE in the first quarter and played the rest of the game.

His Wednesday absence (from the field altogether) always had the look of  maintence day of sorts in an effort for him to be as close to 100 percent as possible for Sunday.
