49ers GM John Lynch confirmed to reporters that a quartet of high-profile defensive prospects will visit the team’s headquarters in the run-up to the draft.

The list features Josh Allen, Nick Bosa, Rashan Gary and Quinnen Williams. Of the four, Gary is the only one who wouldn’t be a viable option with the No. 2 overall pick. His inclusion suggest the 49ers are doing due diligence in case the team trades out of that spot.

Lynch also told reporters that running back Jerick McKinnon remains firmly entrenched in the club’s plans, even after swooping in to sign fellow running back Tevin Coleman to a two-year, $8.5 million deal.

On April 1, McKinnon’s $3.7 million salary becomes guaranteed. The back missed all of last season due to a torn ACL.

"Jerick's working incredibly hard," Lynch said. "He's always had a chip on his shoulder because that was his first opportunity to be the guy. I'm sure he'll have a bigger chip on his shoulder. But he's very much a part of our plans. The way he's working is very encouraging. But it's a big thing to come back from, that's for sure. Yeah, Jerick is going to be a part of us."
