Suffice to say that Rick Barry, the Hall of Famer and Warriors icon, is not on board with getting rid of conference alignments when it comes to the seeding of the NBA playoffs.

When Barry was asked about that topic on “Mornings W/ Joe, Lo & Dibs” on 95.7 The Game on Monday morning, the 1975 Finals MVP launched into a spirited rant.

Here’s how the exchange unfolded with Joe Fortenbaugh…

Barry: Are you talking about interconference stuff?

Joe: Yeah.

Barry: That’s the biggest, stupidest thing I’ve ever heard in my life.

Joe: Really?

Barry: How in the world do you possibly conceive of doing that when you don’t play the same schedule?

Joe: That’s an excellent point.

Barry: Seriously. I mean, it’s insane. I mean, anybody to bring that up it’s just the most ludicrous thing I’ve ever heard in my life.
