Reuben Foster claimed by Redskins after release from 49ers

Ex-Niner was arrested on Saturday night ahead of game with Tampa Bay

A day after the 49ers officially cut Reuben Foster, the linebacker has found a new home, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

In the wake of Washington's move, the NFL placed Foster, thriced arrested in 2018 — and most recently on domestic violence charges on Saturday night — on the commissioner's exempt list.

Per Schefter, the Redskins were the only club to put in a waiver claim for Foster.
