The San Francisco Giants are getting into the Bryce Harper game, according to a pair of early-morning reports.

Randy Miller of NJ Advance Media for NJ.com got things going, reporting that the Giants are “making a late play” for Harper, who remains unsigned as spring training edges ever closer.

Jon Heyman of MLB Network followed up by reporting that the Giants have actually been in the same room as the superstar outfielder.

Alex Pavolvic of NBC Sports Bay Area offers more specifics on the meeting.

Larry Baer was in Philadelphia on Tuesday night for the Sixers loss to the Raptors, as 95.7 The Game's Bonta Hill noted.

For now, it appears the Giants are doing their due diligence surrounding a transcendent talent who’s market has developed a surprisingly slow pace.
