The New York Yankees are moving aggressively to trade Sonny Gray and both Bay Area clubs are in pursuit, per Jon Heyman of Fancred, MLB Network and WFAN.

While both the A’s and Giants are in need of help in their respective rotations, the value of Gray, the one-time Oakland ace, is uncertain.

Gray hasn’t tallied 30 starts since his 2015 All-Star campaign with the A’s and toppled out of the Yankee rotation at the end of last season. The right-hander ended 2018 with a 4.90 ERA in 30 outings, including 23 starts.
