Report: Farhan and Bochy both on hand for Troy Tulowitzki’s open workout

Bay Area native has played just 66 games since start of 2017

The San Francisco Giants are reportedly noteworthy suitors for Troy Tulowitzki, the former five-time all-star shortstop.

Yahoo! Sports’ Jeff Passan is all over the story.

The Giants, or any other team that picks up Tulo, would only be on the hook for the MLB minimum salary. The Blue Jays who released the injury-prone infielder earlier this month are responsible for the rest of his $38 million he makes in the next two seasons.

Tulo, who’s played just 66 games since the start of 2017, is very much interested in landing in the Bay Area. He’s from Santa Clara. He missed last year with bilateral heel bone spurs,

Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle was on it last week.

Should this move materialize, a switch to second base (or the bench) is certainly a possibility, as the Giants current shortstop, Brandon Crawford, enjoys a full no-trade clause.
