Last summer, Stephen Curry made his professional golf debut at a Tour event, missing the cut with consecutive four-over 74s in the opening round.

Come fall 2019, the superstar basketball player could be hosting his own PGA Tour event, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell.

Curry’s agency, Octagon, has representatives reaching out to prospective sponsors with marketing and sponsorship deals being discussed.

“There’s no doubt Stephen Curry brings a young, new, diverse audience to the PGA Tour through his passion for this great game and support for the community,” PGA Tour spokeswoman Laura Neal told ESPN. “We’re excited about the prospect of partnering with an iconic athlete of his caliber in the future.”

Though the report noted Curry isn’t expected to play in the tournament, funds raised would benefit the Curry Family Foundation.
