Brown: ‘I want to apologize to my teammates (and) the organization’

Oakland star has been embroiled in dispute with Mayock and the Raiders

Antonio Brown stepped to the podium, but didn’t take questions, on Friday after head coach Jon Gruden announced that he would be playing on Monday night.

“I’m excited to be out here today,” a clearly subdued Brown told reporters at the club’s Alameda headquarters.

Brown had lived through a turbulent few days, which included a near fight with GM Mike Mayock and the public threat of a suspension.

“I want to apologize to my teammates (and) the organization,” Brown continued. “Enough talk, man. I’m excited to be out here with my teammates, grateful for all the fans. I’m excited to be part of the Raiders, and I’ll see you guys soon.”
