Thanks to a 21-6 stretch, the Oakland A's head into the All-Star break three games out of the second wild-card spot.

Oakland took care of the Giants, 6-2, on Sunday afternoon to close out the first half with a 55-42 record. In the win, Sea Manaea delivered six innings of two-run ball. Stephen Piscotty, who drove in a pair of runs, drilled a solo shot in the sixth. That leaves the right fielder with 12 home runs, including five in July.

Per usual, Lou Trivino and Blake Treinen were untouchable in the eighth and ninth, respectively.

While Treinen and Jed Lowrie take off for Tuesday's All-Star game, the rest of the club is off until Friday when the Giants visit the Coliseum for Round 2 of the Bay Bridge Series.
