One reporter asked Brady, the San Mateo native, about his career parallels to Joe Montana, the 49er legend. Specifically, Brady was asked about how Montana went from playing in San Francisco for so many years to finishing up with the Chiefs.

“I was at Joe Montana's last game at Candlestick Park... I'll never forget that."

“He and Steve Young were my quarterback idols growing up.”

Brady explained that having the opportunity to continue to play football and lead a team is something he's forever grateful for.

The quarterback has won six Super Bowls, four Super Bowl MVP awards and three NFL MVP awards.
