Former San Francisco Giants third baseman Matt Duffy caught up with Damon Bruce on Tuesday afternoon on 95.7 The Game and shared some really personal moments.

In an honest conversation, Duffy told Bruce about the time he thought his career may be over and who helped him out of his rut (jump to the 6:15 mark in the podcast below to find out).

Matt also shared he has a new furry friend... and it's not a cat. Dakota, his new rescue dog is keeping him company in Tampa while a skinnier Skeeter keeps his parents company back home.

“Skeeter's getting old now," Duffy explained. "He's probably, ahh man, I don't know, 16, 17 years old. He's in his old man weight phase now. He's losing his weight and starting to look like a normal cat, but just with some extra skin.”

“Skeeter actually ate all my food growing up," Duffy joked. "That's why I'm so skinny and he's so fat and then we figured it out and kind of balanced. Now he's just old.”
