Madison Bumgarner was characteristically blunt when asked about the trade noise swirling around him after Thursday night’s 16-inning win.

“I don’t give a sh--,” Bumgarner responded, when asked if the Giants’ strong play lessens his concern about a potential trade.

Bumgarner threw nine innings of one-run ball, scattering five hits and a walk, while punching out six, in the eventual 3-2 win over the Mets.

“I’m here to win games for this team and that’s what we’re doing.”

While Bumgarner is out on deadline talk, the rumblings keep emerging:

The Giants, 26-15 since June 1, are 2.5 games back of the second wild-card spot.
