The 49ers missed out on Odell Beckham Jr. and Le’Veon Bell in the space of several hours on Tuesday night, but the club reportedly moved aggressively, at least to secure the latter.

As ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke mid-segment on SportsCenter, Bell ended up with a four-year, $52.5 million deal, which has $35 million in guarantees but could rise to close to $61 million, with incentives.

Per Fowler, The 49ers pitch to Bell “was believed to be shorter term but with stronger guarantees.”
