CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora joined Bonta Hill and Daryle “The Guru” Johnson on 95.7 The Game on Wednesday afternoon and explained where he sees the Raiders in the AFC West hierarchy.

“I think the Raiders are the best team in that division,” La Canfora said. “I thought that up until the point (Derek) Carr got hurt last year. (This year) I think they'll only be better. I like what they continue to do to try to address that secondary and get younger and stronger there.”

Echoing what head coach Jack Del Rio said on 95.7 The Game on Monday, La Canfora sounded unconcerned about the fact that top picks Gareon Conley and Obi Melifonwu remain unsigned as the rest of the rookie class take to the field in Napa.

“They've got a couple of little contract situations going on right now, but that's not going to be anything that lingers or is all that significant,” La Canfora said.

“And offensively, they're just a team that gets better and better with time and that's the beauty of having a young franchise quarterback. So, I think they're the team to beat.”
