Klay Thompson — never not confident.

That’s really all there is to say. Just listen to Thompson in his own words.

For those looking to divine the roots of Klay’s slump (he’s posting his worst field-goal percentage since the 2012-13 season and his worst 3-point percentage in his entire NBA career), don’t blame his impending free agency.

His dad, Mychal Thompson, brushed that notion aside in a Wednesday appearance with “The Damon Bruce Show” on 95.7 The Game.

“No. Not at all,” Thompson said, when asked if Klay's contract situation is looming over his head.

“He’s not thinking about that at all. We never talk about that. He never brings it up. He just wants to help his team win and do his part consistently."
