Splash Bro is about to begin final season of current contract

Heading into the final season of his four-year, $68.9 million contract, Klay Thompson has long maintained that he has no interest in leaving town.

Following training camp practice on Thursday afternoon, the Splash Brother was asked if he’s been so outspoken about his future in an effort to ward off speculation. Seems Thompson, per usual, is just telling it like it is.

“Not really. I just don’t really care,” Thompson explained. “It’s just I feel, to be honest.”

“This place is home, and I love living in the Bay Area.”
