The Warriors didn’t manage to purchase a second-round pick during Thursday night’s draft, but it wasn’t for a lack of effort.

Kirk Lacob, a Warriors assistant GM, joined “Joe, Lo & Dibs” on Friday morning to reveal just how exhaustive the unsuccessful hunt was.

“I think you can assume, you can just go down the list and whoever had pick 31 and all the way down to pick 45 or so,” Lacob said on 95.7 The Game. “If not on draft night, actually much further (before) that.”

“We’re really active but we’re thorough. More than anything, we just never want to miss an opportunity, and, if you don’t call, you don’t know. If you don’t try, you never know. And so, even if we don’t think something is likely, we make sure to call and kind of find out — feel the water and find out what’s going on.”

“But yeah, we probably called 26 teams yesterday as the (draft) was going on.”
