Leading into the Warriors’ Friday night meeting with the Kings, Sacramento TV broadcaster Grant Napear, a noted Boogie Cousins detractor, joined “Joe, Lo & Dibs.”

Unsurprisingly, Napear, who hosts an eponymous show on Sports 1140 KHTK, and called Cousins a “dark cloud” when he was traded, trafficked in negativity.

Asked if the looming return of Cousins, provides the back-to-back champs with an added dimension, he responded as such:

“I have real reservations about DeMarcus is going to fit in there,” Napear said. “I don’t think Golden State needs DeMarcus. I don’t think he’s going to help them. I didn’t understand the signing from Day 1.”

“The style of DeMarcus doesn’t really fit in with the style of Golden State. The way the Warriors run up and down the floor and the way the Warriors play defense, I’m really skeptical how that’s all going to work out.”

“You’re right, it does add a dimension to it. There’s no question about it. But I’m one of the skeptics out there — I think there are many out there — but I just don’t see it really all working out the way everyone else does.”
