Steve Kerr, the head coach of the reigning champ Warriors, is known for his cool demeanor — save for the times he’s smashing clipboards on the sideline.

Kerr shared a funny story when he didn’t do such a good job maintaining his composure during an entertaining exchange on “The Damon Bruce Show” on Thursday:

Kerr: “When I was GM in Phoenix, I was, yeah, I had a couple of bad moments.”

“So, the kids still laugh about (the time) Roger Mason hit a game-winning shot for the Spurs against us on Christmas Day. And somebody had given me a book, a paperback book for Christmas that I had opened that morning.”

“And I think I might have picked up the book and fired it against the wall — after Mason’s shot when in — I might have.”

Damon: “Might have?”

Kerr: “Yeah, I’m not exactly sure. But I have mellowed a little bit in my older age.”
