Jon Gruden really wants revenge on Tom Brady — at least that’s what he’s saying

After the weekend’s Khalil Mack blockbuster, Jon Gruden’s credentials as a talent evaluator and de facto general manager are very much up for debate.

His lyricals skills? Not so much.

In a recent B/R Mag profile by Dan Pompei, Gruden dropped an assortment of gems. He talked about making his team play “Raiders Jeopardy,” his knowledge of “Facechat” and just how much he still wants to take down Tom Brady, his eternal Patriot nemesis.

In preparation for the upcoming season, Gruden had his video dude chop of a video about Brady, to make a point about mental toughness.

"He can't run, can't jump, he's too old. He gets his a-- knocked off,” Gruden said.

“But he's a Terminator. He ran me out of Oakland in the Tuck Game. Damn. He brought those bastards back in a two-minute drill to beat us in a driving snow. They didn't do anything the whole night until the game was on the line. And here I am 20 years later, and guess who's still there. That's why I'm back."

It’s one hell of a quote, but it also begs an unavoidable question. If he’s so desperate to topple Brady, why’d he part with Mack — one of football’s preeminent quarterback hunters.
