Draymond Green has spent his first seven seasons in the NBA in a Golden State Warriors uniform.

Warriors owner Joe Lacob is hoping those threads never change.

Lacob spoke with Marcus Thompson III of The Athletic following the Game 2 win over the Rockets on Tuesday night. The Golden State boss said he never had any doubts about Green, even as he struggled, at times, amid the regular season.

“He’s Draymond Green,” Lacob said. “I wasn’t worried. I want Draymond Green to be here forever. He’s as Warrior as they come.”

Although this upcoming offseason will feature free agency decisions from Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and DeMarcus Cousins, Draymond won't hit the market until next summer.

With Game 3 looming in Houston, Draymond was asked about Lacob's comments following practice on Thursday at the Rakuten Performance Center.

Dray can’t help but smile
