The day after Dez Bryant spent the first Sunday of the NFL season flooding the timeline with Tweets, Jerry Rice joined “Joe, Lo & Dibs” and weighed in on whether the ex-Cowboy could help the Niners.

Jimmy G, who threw of trio of picks in the loss to the Vikings, could use another target — especially after a quad injury wrecked Marquise Goodwin’s Week 1 debut.

Rice sees a role for Dez. He also sees a potential problem.

“I think he could help the team as a veteran with his experience,” Rice said on 95.7 The game. “But…”

“I’m a big fan of Dez Bryant but my big thing over the years with Dez is that he just cannot get separation from defensive backs.”

Bryant, during his Twitter onslaught, disagreed with the notion he wouldn’t be a plus for the Niners.
