A day after the Raiders opened 2017 on a winning note, head coach Jack Del Rio dropped by “The Damon Bruce Show” on 95.7 The Game on Monday afternoon for his first weekly appearance of the season.

Measured as ever and never one to put too much stock in a single win, JDR offered his assessment of the club's 26-16 win over the Tennessee Titans in Nashville.

“There are still some things that we need to clean up — and we will — in every phase,” Del Rio explained. “The offense, the defense, the special teams — there's a laundry list of things that need to be better, but great first weekend to go up there and take care of business and get a big win.”

Pressed for specifics, Del Rio declined to offer any details.

“I'm going to save the specifics for the film sessions,” Del Rio said. “But believe me, there is plenty to clean up.”

The head coach did say which position groups he felt were most instrumental in carrying the silver and black past the Titans.

“I thought the offensive and defensive lines that to me was the difference in the ballgame,” Del Rio. “I know a lot of other things contributed but our offensive and defensive lines had to play well. We had to be the more physical team yesterday and those two groups brought that to us.”
