Speaking with “Joe, Lo & Dibs” on 95.7 The Game, John Lynch, GM of the 49ers, made it clear where he stands on the reported talk of discord at 4949 Marie P DeBartolo Way, Santa Clara.

“Well, it’s nonsense,” Lynch said.

On Tuesday, Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller reported the following:

“According to sources in the team's scouting and coaching staff, the two aren't in lock step as far as the vision of the offseason and the future of the franchise.”

Miller added that a ”power struggle” could ensue as Shanahan looks to push out Lynch in favor of his own personnel man, allowing him to focus on coaching.

Shanahan, in a text to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, called the report “somplete bullsh--.”

Lynch’s reply struck the same tenor, but was safe for work...

“Look, I’m a big boy. Kyle’s a big boy. People can talk about a lot of things — whether they like our pick. People can say, ‘Hey, you’re dumb for taking a punter in the fourth round.”

“We’ve got big shoulders. We’re going to do what we thinks right for this organization. We’re proud of what we’ve done, but the notion that we’re not working together, it couldn’t be further from the truth.”

“We have a tremendous working relationship. We’re great friends off the field. There’s a lot of trust. We came in this together and we came in knowing that there’d be some tough times and that it wasn’t going to be easy. But it was going to be worth it.”

“So, I can tell Niner fans that we’re strong as ever. And there’s a lot of trust and faith. I feel so great for this organization that they’ve got Kyle Shanahan — tremendous leader, tremendous mind.”

“Our players love him. I love him. We’ve got each other’s back and that’s all that I’ll say on that because that’s just the truth.”
