After taking part in his third Championship Parade, Stephen Curry joined “The Damon Bruce Show” to recap the celebration and the title that came before it.

Curry also explained his decision to ditch his bus and traverse much of the parade route on foot. At one point, he even broke free free his bodyguards…

“I had a moment. We were about to turn off of 10th St. on to Broadway,” Curry recalled on 95.7 The Game. “I kind of knew what to expect because this is my third one and I kind of know the lay of the land, the parade route, the fans and all that stuff.”

“I had to really tell myself, ‘Like this is amazing. No matter how much you know you’ve been here before — this and that — or it may become monotonous in that sense. Enjoy this because who knows if you’ll ever get back here again because of how hard it is to win a championship.’”

“So, I got off the bus. I think I ran about two miles today. I got some plyometrics. My calves hurt. I was jumping up and down with the fans all down Broadway, all down 20th St.”

“It was unbelievable So, for me, just to have fun and let loose a little bit (was important) because it’s been a long, nine-month journey.”
