Hue Jackson is headed back to The Town, as a head coach, for the first time since his tumultuous exit from the Raiders in January of 2012.

Jackson, who infamously delivered a ranting press conference at the close of the 2011 season, declaring that he would consolidate organizational power in the wake of Al Davis’ passing, harbors nothing but fond memories of the silver and black.

In advance of the Browns’ visit to the Coliseum on Sunday, the coach joined “Joe, Lo 7 Dibs” on 95.7 The Game on Friday morning.

“I think I left there in a good way. Obviously, there’s a lot of great people there that I communicate with. It’s going to be great to see Lo, if he’s coming to the game.”

Jackson’s memorable press conference was his final salvo before new general manager Reggie McKenzie fired him.

“So, that will be fun, to see some faces that I haven’t seen in a while,” Jackson continued.

“But again, it’s another football game to me. I’ve been back, since I left there. This is going to be my first time bringing my own team into Oakland. We’re excited about the challenge and the opportunity. It’s another AFC game for us.”

“Obviously, we think Oakland’s a really good football team, regardless of what their record says. So, it’s another opportunity for our organization and football team.”
