The day after Jon Gruden admitted that the Raiders are trying to get the AWOL Khalil Mack back in the building ASAP, Greg Papa addressed the biggest storyline for the summer for the silver and black.

Suffice it to say that Papa is not overly concerned with Mack’s ongoing absence, as he detailed to “Joe, Lo & Dibs” on 95.7 The Game.

“Khalil is just such a good person,” Papa said. “You never have to worry about him. He’s not a talker. He’s just a hard, relentless worker.”

Mack’s old HC has a simple solution to the brewing mess.

“This must be killing him not to be in camp and being a part of (the group with) his teammates,” Papa continued. “And they’re closing training camp today. It’s done. He didn’t hit Napa at all in 2018, but I just can’t imagine that he is going to miss the opener.

“And I think they’ll figure something out. I don’t know what the numbers are going to be when it all comes in but I would just be shocked if he does not play September 10 against the Rams.”
