‘That is the plan, for sure’ — Curry aims to play in next summer’s Olympics

Stephen Curry, the three-time NBA champ, is set to play in next summer’s Olympics in Tokyo, according to an interview with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols.

"That is the plan, for sure," Curry said. "You know, obviously knock on wood, you don't want any injuries or things like that to interfere."

Curry, who missed out on the 2016 games because he was recovering from a knee injury, would be joining up with a squad where his Golden State head coach, Steve Kerr, is an assistant on Gregg Popovich's Team USA staff.

"Definitely wanna go," Curry said. "I've never been on the Olympic team. I've been on two World Cup championship gold-medal teams. But the Olympics is the experience that I want. And next year will hopefully be it."
