Steph urges Dub Nation to help save 'Warriors House' in West Oakland

A GoFundMe has been created to help resident Lloyd Canamore

If you're a Warriors fan, you've most likely heard of the "Warriors House" in West Oakland. The blue and gold house, decorated in Warriors flags is located on 35th Street.

The home is owned by 58-year-old Lloyd Canamore.

Unfortunately, he is at risk of losing his home that has been in his family for 50 years. Before Canamore's mother passed away eight months ago, she was misled into taking out a reverse mortgage. Now the bank wants Lloyd to pay $350,000 or he'll have to turn his property over. 

Stephen Curry, who visited the home before the 2018 playoffs, is urging people to donate and help Canamore save his home. 

"Lloyd has been a die hard for #dubnation. We can get there and get $$ to keep him in his home," Curry wrote in an Instagram post.

According to NBC Sports, around the same time as Curry's post, a $10,000 anonymous donation was made to the GoFundMe.
