Steve Kerr, head coach of the Warriors, joined “Damon, Ratto & Kolsky” live from media day on Monday for a wide-ranging interview.

Listen to your team news NOW.

Suffice it to say that Kerr has high expectations for face of the franchise Stephen Curry now that his erstwhile MVP colleague has moved on to Brooklyn.

“Well, I think he will be in the MVP conversation now that Kevin is gone,” Kerr said at the Biofreeze Performance Center. “I think those two guys cancelled each other out over the last three years — neither one of them was given much of a chance.”

“And I don’t think either one of them really cared that much, to be honest with you. They complemented one another.”

Last year, Curry was No. 5 on the MVP ballot but he didn’t garner a single first-place vote. Durant landed in the No. 8 spot.
