Business is booming at Chase Center, future home of the back-to-back champion Warriors.

The team has already made an unprecedented $2 billion in revenue from the new building, in the form of tickets, suites and sponsorships, according to president and COO Rick Welts.

Welts revealed hat figure in an appearance on the Bloomberg Business of Sports podcast.

“The perfect market, perfect time — the Bay Area is on fire,” Welts said. “Couldn’t be a better economic time. Couldn’t be a better basketball team.”

That $2 billion figure is a staggering sum, especially considering that Welts estimated that Chase Center — even though it’s running 30 percent over budget — will cost $1.3 billion to build.

In addition to JPMorgan Chase & Co., United Airlines, PepsiCo, Accenture and Google Cloud will also be sponsors for the new arena.
