40 miles south of Oracle, the Warriors fell to the Lakers 119-105 Friday night at the SAP Center.

With the Warriors resting Kevin Durant, and the Lakers resting LeBron James, Brandon Ingram, and more, Los Angeles got the better of the Warriors in what would be both team’s final preseason game. Golden State can now focus their sights on the regular season.

Stephen Curry had a dominant first quarter with 16 points and four assists, including four 3-pointers. Curry would not play past the first quarter however, as he headed back to the locker room reportedly feeling “under the weather”. He would return to the bench in the second half, but did not check back in.

Klay Thompson looked as sharp, scoring all 21 of his points in the first half, including three 3-pointers and team-high +/- of +12. With the regular season just days away, the Splash Brothers both look to be in midseason form.

Damian Jones had a superb showing, scoring 16 points and going a perfect 6-for-6 from the field, including this ridiculous alley-oop from Curry. He looks as ready as ever to fill the center role as DeMarcus Cousins continues to rehab from his Achilles injury.

Towards the end of the game, Lakers guard Lance Stephenson was ejected for allegedly taking a swing at Quinn Cook after a hard foul. This came after Lakers forward Michael Beasley was ejected in the third quarter after being assessed two technicals in a verbal altercation with Draymond Green.

The Warriors open up the regular season this Tuesday at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder at 7:30pm. They will also receive their championship rings in a pregame ceremony. Be sure to catch all the action on 95.7 The Game.
