George Karl, the longtime former NBA coach, who famously clashed with DeMarcus Cousins while the pair were both members of the Sacramento Kings, is on board with the Warriors decision to sign the rehabbing big man.

Karl addressed the fit between Cousins and Golden state on Thursday when he joined “The Greg Papa Show” with Bonta Hill.

“I really am a positive guy on this move, to be honest with you,” Karl told Bonta and Ray Ratto who was in for Papa. “I think it’s a win-win for the Warriors and for DeMarcus because he doesn’t have to rush back.”

“If he had been signed by .500 and now had to win because they paid DeMarcus $150 million, I think he would have pushed himself maybe to be a problem. And now, I think he can take his time and get healthy — or get as healthy as he’s needed to be.”
