Raiders legend Rich Gannon liked what he saw during his trip to Raiders mini-camp last week in Alameda.

The former MVP offered praise for Derek Carr and the way the quarterback has thrived under the early tutelage of head coach Jon Gruden, his old boss.

At the request of Gruden, Gannon was in camp for a couple of days sitting in on meetings and dispensing wisdom. He left with a positive impression of the new-look Raiders.

The club reconvenes for training camp on July 26 in Napa.
