David Griffin, the former general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers, is as sharp a basketball mind as there is in the NBA universe.

LeBron’s old exec in Cleveland swung by “Joe, Lo & Dibs” on Wednesday before the Dubs meet Griffin’s ex-charge in Vegas and offered up plenty of insights.

Most notably, Griffin said that aside from crumbling from within, the Utah Jazz, not the Houston Rockets, are the back-to-back champs’ biggest threat in the Western Conference.

“The only team that I look at that really has a chance to do anything to them in the West, in my opinion, is Utah," Griffin said on 95.7 The Game. "And the reason is, the matchup is tough. They’re something of a kryptonite for Golden State.”

“I’m not saying I anticipate Utah beats them, but they’re really the threat to me within the Western Conference.”

For what it’s worth, Joe Fortenbaugh is also out on the Jazz vanguard with Griffin. So, file this piece away.
