Eric Reid is unemployed no more.

The former 49ers safety, and first player to kneel alongside Colin Kaepernick, has inked a deal with the Carolina Panthers. Reid reportedly rejected a chance to return to the 49ers before finding his new home.

The Panthers announced the move, in a series of tweets, via the club's official account.

The Panthers appear, at least publically, unconcerned with Reid's social activism.

Reid's ex-employer was also in the mix for his services, per NFL Network's Jim Trotter.

Trotter later clarified that the offer was actually for one year.

Kap, unsurprisingly, is very much onboard with the move.
