Draymond Green is renowned as one of the NBA’s premier free-agent recruiters. He’s the guy that texted Kevin Durant from the parking lot, sparking one of the greatest summer coups in league history.

He’s also one of the Warriors who was involved in securing the services of DeMarcus Cousins. As the new big man tells it, Draymond’s pitch was a tad too candid.

"Man, Draymond probably had the worst pitch,” Cousins told ESPN’s Chris Haynes with a laugh. “'Cuz, I'm pretty sure me and you are gonna fight.’ I’m like, ‘Draymond, come on. Woah, woah, woah, woah.’”

"But nah, nah — Draymond, that's my guy," Cousins added. "I respect him as a player. I respect him as a competitor. He’s one of the top in this business, just his approach to every game. I want that guy on my team every day.”
